Maharashtra is the most renowned state in our country in the western region. The capital of the state in Mumbai. The shape of the state similar to a triangle. Gujarat bounds this state to the northwest, Madhya Pradesh to the north, Telangana to the northeast, Karnataka to the south region, Goa to the southwest, and the Arabian Sea to the west.

Maharashtra was formed by merging two parts of Mumbai. It was western and south-western part of the Bombay state, Vidarbha and Berar and the north-western part of the Hyderabad and splitting Saurashtra.

The official language of the state is Marathi. This is the state where you may find the people from all the states like Bihari, from Bihar, Guajarati from Gujarat, Tamil from Tamil Nadu, and Bengali from West Bengal.
